My FZR4/6 is finished and my current insurers (Direct Choice) will not insure it, so I'm bikeless with my 1000 also on a SORN.
Who do the specials builders get insurance through as there must be someone out there?

Andi costs me £19 a month. For that I get £200,000 cover. Ah sorry, you mean your bike. Did direct choice not recommend anyone? What about Footman James? Or dare I suggest Carole Nash or Bennetts? Ye gods how much?

My Dad also put me onto bikesure as he had the same problem a few weeks ago. I have set up a policy with them but they are fkin useless. I went through the mods in detail and told them everything. When the proposal form came to me after I bought the policy, it said "No modifications declared". It's now a frigging ding dong of calls and emails to get them to put the mods that they have on their computer in writing to me. It's not hard really is it? It makes me wonder if they are pulling a fast one so that if a claim did arise then they would leave you high and dry.

Carole Nash wanted photos and a letter listing all of the mods before they would even discuss whether or not they would insure. And the operator was aggressive, so I put them to the bottom of the pile.
Besides, 01 has all of the plastics off at the moment so doesn't look pretty.
