What's wrong with people?......book price for a 99 R1 on a T plate in good condition £1860 yet sellers are asking up to £2600 for them ......there's an NC30 on ebay at the moment on a K plate, book price is £870 and he wants .....£1850 buy it now.Its no wonder they can't sell em .....book on the Ace in good nick is £1350 so i ask £1200 for it and get offers of £1000.....i'd be better kepping it than flogging it for that much! No one wants new at moment. So 2-3 grand loads about, but dealers are canny bastids and so are holding out on prices. I been looking now for months and its no different than end of last year. If you don't mind older out dated stuff, there's some low mileage bargains to be had. But anything 02 -05 reg is stupid money. Their just sitting it out and selling mopeds to the uneducated till things get better. I've found some private sellers though, selling for higher prices than some back street dealers. Found a low mileage R6 cat D. But by the time I've had the aggro of various ebays to fix, for 300 quid more can buy a reet tidy from from a local dealer, just mileages are well apart. But on a modern bike does it really matter?

Second hand bike prices the same as second hand cars are holding due to people not wanting to buy new at the moment, so dealers round here are having a problem getting older bikes in as part exchange, some good 0% offers but they seem to be on 08 models they are trying to shift to make way for 09 models.. There again friend of mine brought a CBR600RR 17000 miles 04 plate off ebay from £2700 last month, nice tidy bike.
