Oh, I can post again (it was crashing my IE). Chin up mate. So are you walking or is the knee still weak? Thanks Lee. I'm off crutches but only for short distances. Their not happy about it, but I need to go back to work. Physio has made me wear a compression bandage to try and take swelling down. But knee is far from right. Even if I had a bike , I couldn't ride because the knee doesn't bend enough, and the swelling stops me putting my leathers on. I tried driving the car a couple of days ago, and I was very uncomfortable after only 5 minutes. Mind that car of Andi's is small so I normally drive with my knees under my chin.

Seen a specialist today. I have a liquefied haematoma. Basically a result from the injury I sustained during the accident. She said its not worthwhile draining the knee, as this could lead to infection and it'll probably fill again anyway. Its mainly made up from the blood from the internal bleeding in my knee. The fluid is my body's reaction to breaking down this blood, and it will be absorbed gradually. I should be out with this injury for around 2-3 months. To be walking after 5 weeks is really good evidently. I'm off for another 2 weeks but hopefully will be back in work just after the bank holiday. On the good news front, my riding equipment is covered by the house insurance, so I've got to get a quote for new stuff, helmet, etc and they will replace like for like.

Seems I got off lightly from what you and others have said about their own injuries. ;D
