Sh*t. Mr Doom and Gloom here. Went to see physio today. My right knee, the medial ligament has been damaged. I have a lot of fluid on my knee and no feeling on the left side. So gotta see a doctor tomorrow about going to a consultant. Maybe an operation. I'm now at least another 2 weeks off work, and quite possibly may never get the use of my knee back properly. Great as I do a driving job for a living. Possibly may end up with a limp for the rest of my life. My hip on the left side is going OK at moment. So some good news. Work are OK about it all, but if I want to forgo my holidays they will pay me in full, as they only pay the first 3 days off work in an emergency. So I'm skint, off work and bike is no further along. Direct Choice never sent all the details of the accident to Axa. So they have been unable to dispute the other parties claim for now. Got some paperwork coming, and their going to get in touch with Steve as he was a witness. Really good day today. The best news is, if my knee doesn't get fixed soon, I'll possibly be never able to ride a motorcycle properly again.

You'll be OK.
And if you lose some mobility in the knee then there's always the Harley option.

He says he's not surprised there's still fluid on my knee, considering I tried to rip my leg off. He's given me even more pain killers, Yoda the junkie now ,but I think I won't be putting my knee down any time soon.

Shi! news bud, but it's not all doom and gloom. Both my knees are fooked, no cruciate ligament in either. Fluid build up all the time, fluid swelling just helps secure the knee padding better!! If if can ride the red lady and play in hills and mud, scratch that; work hard riding a crosser all day, you'll be back on a bike with enough in the tank for a few more flying lessons yet. Dave59 explained his bad luck with his motor, but what he didn't tell you was that he reversed into another car with his work van in the Hein Gericke car park!!

Well seeing as I'm forum whinger this month, I'll have another wee moan. F*ck me was I in some pain last night. Where didn't it hurt. Anyway after a sorta sleepless night, got up and knee although still as tight as Dave 59's wallet, swelling had gone down slightly. Putting plenty of ice bags on it too, and the fluid has reduced greatly. Still need the crutches coz me groin area is rather painful to say the least when I walk without them. But seems I'm on the mend. So where's that bloody insurance assessor, feel more like chasing that lot up now.

Well the bikes a write off. 3-3,500 quids worth of damage. Assessor not been out yet. So I'm bike less again, could be another couple of weeks before I can go back to work as well. But at least work have been really cool about it all. Quite surprised me that did.
